FAQ
The questions that come up most often on technical qualification calls.
Do I get the footage or only annotations?
You get the processed video and the structure around it. Unprocessed material does not leave our pipeline: what you receive is footage after privacy and confidentiality processing, which is the only form it is licensable in.
Can I train a commercial model on this?
Under a commercial or enterprise licence, yes, within the agreed term and territory. The resulting model weights are yours and we claim no interest in them.
How many episodes do I need?
It depends on task variability and how far your baseline already is. That is why a pilot fixes an evaluation target first: the useful answer comes from measuring one round, not from a rule of thumb.
Can you collect a task that is not in the catalogue?
That is the normal case. You describe the task, the target environment and the evaluation; we write the capture protocol, recruit qualified contributors and approved sites, and deliver to that specification.
Are LeRobot or ROS exports available?
Not today. Both are planned, neither is in a current release, and no delivery date is committed. Today the path is Parquet plus MP4, or a loader written against your pipeline.
What happens if a contributor withdraws?
Their episodes are excluded from future versions and access to the affected files in existing versions is revoked. Both events are recorded in the changelog and the disclosure log.
Is the sample data on this site real?
The datasets in the catalogue are labelled as samples: they describe representative structure and volume, not a shipped release. A real release is scoped on a qualification call.
